Bobcat
Although many say the bobcat is "secretive," bobcats here seem not to mind us humans. Often one will sit openly on a rock-wall to observe its world, fully aware that we spellbound humans are openly observing him from less than a stone’s-throw away. One day we watched a bobcat eat its daily catch, a desert cottontail, in a sycamore tree in the Cottage’s front yard. It didn’t mind seven people gaping at it. Nor did it mind three cameras snapping away at it. When it had finished eating, it looked around, casually climbed down the tree, and trotted into the brush and out of our vision.
